Ryanstone supplied and erected the Wolfe tone memorial at the Northeast end of St. Stephens Green the material used is Wicklow granite Quarried and worked at our Quarry at Granabeg near Hollywood Co. Wicklow.
The “monolithic” appearance of the granite backdrop gives great strength to the monument. Led to some Dubliners giving it the nickname “Tonehenge”
The Wicklow granite used for the monument went through rigorous testing at the Institute of Industrial research and standards before erection.
